This is our personal review of Iberostar Paraiso Maya and our personal staff photos of the rooms, restaurants, beach and pools including the wave pool. We prefer the Maya and feel there is more to do there because it is part of the larger complex. The IB Quetzal is closer to the town of Playa de Carmen. However, the beach at the Quetzal usually has calmer water than the IB Paraiso. No gimmicks here – you will still sense the luxury. The pools at the IB Paraiso complex are far and above the pool at the Quetzal. Every junior suite and superior junior suite has been carefully designed to capture the flavor of the amazing Mayan history. The resort humbly says luxury at every turn. Each section of suites has its own uniquely designed courtyard. But you must tear yourself away – there is so much more to Iberostar Paraiso Maya. Original Mayan architecture is on display everywhere throughout the resort. Club rental is 65 for Titleist AP1, and 55 for Callaway XR. Includes Green fee, shared cart, food and beverage including alcoholic drinks and taxes. Enter the pyramid and you see two giant Mayan statues. If you are a guest of the hotel the rate in the morning is 99 and the twilight is 69. Words do not describe the unique creativity Iberostar has put into the lobby. Your first visual of Iberostar Paraiso Maya is the enormous pyramid, an exact replica of Chichen Itza. The Bar next to the lobby sits inside the center of the pyramid creating an amazing high ceiling effect. Enter the pyramid and you see two giant Mayan statues immediately in the large and beautifully designed lobby. The Vacation Specialists of ULTIMATE VACATIONS have been fortunate enough to stay at the 5 Star Iberostar Paraiso Maya several times and continue to inspect it even more frequently. Your first visual of Iberostar Paraiso Maya is the enormous pyramid, an exact replica of Chichen Itza.
